General and Beginners FAQ’s

Q . What is Get Moving Vermont!?

A .  Get Moving Vermont! is an easy-to-use online tracking tool which is designed to help people be active and improve their overall well-being.  The online tool is a part of the activity program organized by the Vermont State Employees' Wellness Program.  Using this tool, State of Vermont employees can keep track of pedometer steps, convert daily activities into steps and view progress along a virtual trail.

Q . How do I get started with Get Moving Vermont!?

A .  To start, you'll need to register.  Follow the “Not Registered” link in the lower left side of the Welcome page and complete the registration (one time only).   Instructions are provided on the User Profile Page.   After you have completed the registration, you may move on to join a worksite team, or exit the program.  To go back into the program, you will need to log in.

Q . How do I log in?

A .  In the user name text box, type in your first name followed by a period, then your last name (example: Jane.Doe), with no spacing in between letters.  Next, in the password text box, type in your password and  click 'Log In'. Please note: the user name is not case sensitive, but the password is.  Be sure that your caps lock isn't turned on when entering your password.

Q. How do I change my password?

A .  Click “Your Profile”, then click “Change Password”.

Q . I can't do anything/nothing works.

A .  Make sure you are logged in; you must be logged in to use the service.

Q . I logged in a while ago, and now I can't do anything.  Why not?

A .  The web page will automatically time out after a period of non-activity.  If you log in and are inactive for an extended period of time (e.g. 10 – 25 min), the system will automatically log you out to protect your account.

Q . My password doesn't work.

A .  Check to make sure that you have typed in the user name and password that you entered in the registration process. The password is case-sensitive so make sure your caps lock isn't turned on.

If you still cannot log in, click the 'Forgot Password?' link. Enter your email in the "Forgot Your Password?" text box, then click submit. An email assigning you a temporary password will be sent to the email account you provided during registration.  You will then be requested to change that password to one of your choice.

Q . I forgot my password and emailed a request for it...but have not received a reply.

A .  Check for the password reset email in your spam mail folder or junk mail folder.  Also check any other emails you might have provided during registration (home vs. work email ).  If you still need help, email us at: DHR-EmpWellness@state.vt.us

Q.  Is there a user manual?

A .  Yes.  To access it, log in and run your mouse over "Help" from the menu on the left side of the screen.  A menu will appear.  Click on "User Manual."  This manual contains step-by-step instructions, is bookmarked and includes screen shots to make it easy to use and understand.  It can also be printed out to use at your convenience.
